Entinger and Galzki awarded 2009 UMN Minnesota GIS/LIS Scholarship Awards
The 2009 winners of the UMN Minnesota GIS/LIS Scholarship Awards are Nicholas Entinger and Jacob Galzki. Nicholas, the undergraduate awardee and Geography major, won based on his project, "Estimating Water Turbidity in Glacier National Park" and is advised by Dr. Marvin Bauer, Professor of Forest Resources. Jacob, graduate awardee and Water Resources Science M.S. candidate, won based on his project, "Identifying Critical Portions of Landscape for Water Quality Protection Using GIS and Terrain Analysis" and is advised by Dr. David Mulla, Professor of Soil, Water and Climate. Congratulations to these very deserving students!
September 17th, 2009Krishna selected for ESRI Summer Internship
Vikrant Krishna has been selected to participate in the 2009 ESRI Summer Internship Program. He will be working in the development department on their Web GIS Application, specifically with their Maps and Earth, and JavaScript API's. Vikrant was among 40 people selected for this competitive program that received over 1500 applications!
